 Chaplet of the Divine Mercy

LEADER 1: Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

LEADER 2/ALL: Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

LEADER 1: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.  Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

LEADER 2/ALL: Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

LEADER 1: I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried: he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

LEADER 2/ALL: I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen

LEADER 1: Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ

LEADER 2/ALL: In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

LEADER 1: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion

LEADER 2/ALL: have mercy on us and on the whole world (repeat 10 times)

LEADER 1: Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world (repeat 3 times)

LEADER 2/ALL: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Heavenly Father, be with us in this sacred moment. We ask Your comfort for the Donohoe family amid the sorrow of losing someone they love. Help them to bear their pain and loss, and renew their faith in the life to come. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ.

We offer this novena for John,
who has departed from this world and now returns to you.
Lord, in your mercy welcome him into your heavenly kingdom.
He has gone to his rest in hopes of rising with you.
Lord, bring him into the light of your Divine Presence.
May he find eternal peace with you.
May he inherit your kind forgiveness.
May he see you face to face.
You are our hope in this world, our resurrection and life, our Judge and Savior.
We humbly beseech you, be merciful in your judgement and grant to John eternal salvation.
Cleanse him of his sins and grant him lasting reward,
in your kingdom.

We thank you, Almighty God, for the treasured gift of love, for those we have shared our lives with, and the memories we are blessed to hold in our hearts. Console us, wipe away our tears, and see us through another day. Death is not the last word, for we have the hope and promise of a life everlasting, through Your Son, our Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

"Brendan's Buddy Bench" was dedicated this past Saturday evening.  Located near the front doors of St Vincent Martyr School, this bench is a special place where people can sit with a friend.  Family, friends, and people who loved Brendan were in attendance to honor him.  Sr. Noreen and Phil spoke from the heart and Fr. George blessed the bench in Brendan's name.  Several members of the SVMS class of 2013 were in attendance and a few even shared some sweet, funny stories about Brendan.   So many of us carry Brendan and Colleen in our hearts

Brendan Charles O'Reilly Foundation

Last year after Brendan passed away, we awarded two $1000 scholarships to middle school students who the faculty and administration believed best embodied the spirit of Brendan. By spirit, we mean the commitment to helping turn classmates into a family. We have set up a charitable organization, the Brendan Charles O’Reilly Scholarship Fund, to continue to fund these scholarships for as long as possible.  We’re asking for your help by donating to support this effort.  Below you’ll find a link to the Brendan Charles O'Reilly Foundation webpage along with QR code for donations.  All donations are tax-deductible.  We thank you for your consideration.
T oday we pray in memory of Brendan: God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, and by Your command we return to dust. Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end. We pray today for Brendan and Colleen, who died and now live in company with Christ. May they rejoice in Your kingdom, where all tears are wiped away. Lord, look upon us with love as we mourn, and unite us together again in one family, to sing Your praise, forever and ever. Your providence guides our lives, Amen
